McLean Kasambala holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering from the University of Malawi. He has accumulated over five years of experience in IT consultancy, software development, and deployment, specializing in full-stack development. McLean has designed, developed, and integrated various software solutions, with significant contributions to Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) systems, data analytics, and web applications.

He has worked with organizations such as the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation and the Malawi Liverpool Wellcome Trust, where he contributed to the design of health systems, led development teams, and supervised the deployment and management of data systems. McLean’s technical expertise spans multiple programming languages, databases, and cloud platforms, and he has a proven track record in team leadership, project management, and AI-based solutions. His work has contributed to the development of several mobile and web apps, including the USAID-supported Next Generation Early Grade Reading Activity app and the WHO Afro Vaccine Pillar Learning Agenda platform.
